STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS
Proven experience. Steady in the storm.

I help nonprofits, advocacy groups, and the companies that serve the public good communicate with clarity when the stakes are highest. Twenty-five years in campaigns, Congress, and a Cabinet department.

What I do

I write strategic communications plans: what you need to say, who needs to hear it, and how you will get it done.

Strategic communications plans

Clear plans built around your goals, your audience, and the moment you are in.

Crisis and issues management

A tested plan and a steady response when the news turns against you.

Media and executive preparation

Spokespeople and leaders ready for the interview, the hearing, and the hard question.

Hill and agency engagement

Credible messages for Congress, federal agencies, and the people who watch them.

Who I work with

Different missions, the same goal: a plan to win that weathers the storm and creates sunny days.

FOR MISSION-DRIVEN ORGANIZATIONS
Nonprofit and democracy-reform leaders

Sharper messages, a narrative your supporters will repeat, and a plan that holds when the news turns against you. Advice that respects a small team and a big mission.

FOR COMPANIES THAT SERVE THE PUBLIC
Business and government contractors

Bipartisan counsel for organizations scrutinized by Congress, agencies, and the press. Prepared leaders, straight answers, no surprises.

How I work
1
Listen

I start with your goals, your audience, and what motivates you and keeps you up at night.

2
Plan the sunny day

Build a plan around what you want to achieve: the messages, the messengers, and the moments that matter.

3
Calm in a crisis

When pressure hits, you have a plan, a rehearsed team, and an experienced hand beside you.

I’m Josh Taylor.

I founded Long Branch Strategies in 2018 after a career spent in the rooms where it happens: a Texas congressional office, a presidential campaign, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. I give bipartisan, practical advice, and I deliver when it counts.
